Job Title: Allied Health Training Facilitator
Empowering Communities Through Connection, Capacity, and Care

Chatr is looking for an experienced and passionate facilitator to join our dynamic team, delivering wellbeing, mental health, and capacity-building workshops across Australia. This role focuses on strengthening community resilience, mental health literacy, and individual capacity through inclusive, trauma-informed education.

About the Role

As a Training Facilitator, you will deliver workshops that promote mental health, wellbeing, and self-determination. Our programs are developed with community voice at their core and aim to foster connection, safety, and practical skills in a range of settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, trauma-informed workshops focused on wellbeing, empowerment, and psychological safety.

  • Create inclusive learning environments that foster participation, self-reflection, and growth.

  • Build genuine rapport with participants to enhance learning and trust.

  • Provide post-session support and referrals & counselling support to ensure participants are moving forward.

  • Work with the Chatr Training team to adapt and refine content based on feedback and emerging needs.

  • Support ongoing program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.

Trauma-Informed & Inclusive Practice

  • Deliver workshops using strengths-based, and trauma-aware approaches that are also engaging.

  • Demonstrate empathy, flexibility, and awareness of diverse lived experiences.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with workshop planning, logistics, data collection, and reporting.

  • Maintain accurate participant records and contribute to service delivery tracking.

About You

  • Qualifications – Must be an Allied Health professional with a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Social Work, Counselling or a related field.

  • Facilitation Experience or willingness to learn– Confident and engaging in group learning environments.

  • Trauma-Informed Practice – Strong understanding of safe facilitation and emotional safety.

  • Excellent Communication – Able to connect with people from all walks of life.

  • Values-Driven – Committed to equity, inclusion, and community impact.

  • Flexible & Mobile – Willing to travel for the role, within the state but occasionally interstate of required.
